Description

“We gave the Udder Vital Bolus to cows with around 200,000 scc. On our first two milk recordings we seen a substantial reduction on scc from these cows.”

John Hanrahan, Croom, Co. Limerick.

We started using the flash bolus and udder vital bolus this year and are very happy with the results. No worries of milk tank contamination is a real bonus and they are now an integral part of our mastitis control programme in the herd.”

Denis O’ Leary, Upper Cloghroe, Co. Cork.

“Udder health seems to be great again, The Udder-Vital and Flash Boluses have helped our cell counts. We always had issues with high cell counts and too many clinical cases of mastitis. After we followed the advises of Biochem Products from The Netherlands and changed our milking procedures a little bit and implemented these boluses, then our cell counts started to go down. Our counts have stayed low for quite a while now including the rate of new clinical infections. We keep on using the Udder-Vital and the Flash Bolus frequently together with milking procedures. We believe all of these things work together to make good udder health and helping us to reduce the use of antibiotics.”

Jan Franke, dairy farmer with 230 lactating cows. Ochtrup, Germany.

“Two years ago, we became concerned about the udder health of our herd. We felt cows were not performing as well as they could be and were facing too much mastitis and high SCC. As we wanted to reduce the use of antibiotics in our herd, we heard through our nutritionist about boluses. On advice we started using the Udder-Vital-Bolus on high cell-count cows identified through the milkcontrol and individual plate-count. This resulted in a significant reduction of SCC of our bulkmilk and especially much less new cases of new infections. Since than we bolus all our cows showing abrupt increase of SCC with the Udder-Vital Bolus and are extremely pleased with the results we have seen, we will continue to use them to help improve the health of our dairy herd.”
